Denim Blue & Miclain Keith tore up the stage with their indie-pop sound, great instrumentation and vocals on point that spread like butter through out the venue.
Super blue-eyed soul post-hardcore singer Jonny Craig stopped in at Local 662 in St.Petersburg,FL with Kyle Lucas and Captain Midnite for their “Blueprint For Going In Circles tour”.
Known widely for being in the epic post-hardcore band Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa and Slaves, Jonny has had a very steady solo career as well, melting the hearts of every woman in his path with a soulful angelic voice. On the tour also was the high-energy Georgia rapper Kyle Lucas and multi-talented producer/DJ Captain Midnite.
Local openers Taking Flight Ink hit the stage first with an acoustic set. They had a mix of post-hardcore elements in their set with some rapping as well. Denim Blue & Miclain Keith tore up the stage with their indie-pop sound, great instrumentation and vocals on point that spread like butter through out the venue. Samurai Shotgun seemed like the odd band out, but not all. They brought the highest energy and stage presence mixing genres perfectly with hip-hop, funk, punk and post-hardcore. Ending their set and starting to pack up, the crowd chanted “one more song! one more song!” not even the touring acts got asked for an encore by the audience, but the mics were cut of and the show had to keep moving. It was a great show indeed, a mix of all genres that actually fit the show and most of the crowd was feeling. With it being 2015, genres are being broken down everyday with a lot of new artist experimenting, just because there is so much music to love out there.
